The OpenSAF Project is pleased to announce the Beta 4 availability of OpenSAF 4.0 Development Release.

The key features of this release are:

  • DTSv OI (#618)
    • Main contributor: Chandra Sekhar
  • MASv/PSSv cleanup (#625)
    • Main contributor: Ramesh
  • SAF Software Management Framework (SMF) service, Drop 1 (#273)
    • Main contributors: Ingvar Bergström, Bertil Engelholm, Lars Ekman

Summary of major SMF capabilities in Beta 4:

  • Rolling upgrade over Nodes and SUs
  • Single step upgrade (without template part)

Not supported:

  • SMF API
  • Rollback
