3.0.1 Release Plan

The release plan (with dates) is described below:

Set the "3.0.1-RC1" tag, plus build and publish an archive	Steve	October 9
3.0.1-RC1 archive testing	Community	October 9 thru October 16
3.0.1 release date (set 3.0.1 tag & create archive)	Steve	October 17

Please consider the 3.0 branch to be under change control during the testing phase (October 9 - October 16) with only critical patches being committed. This will be an informal change control process where developers will monitor their own changes.
